HIBALL becomes HBP Partnering Project

HIBALL will in a multitude of ways contribute to the HBP objective to create and operate EBRAINS as a European scientific research infrastructure for brain research, cognitive neuroscience, and other brain-inspired sciences, as well as to gather, organise and disseminate data describing the brain and its diseases.

Predictive cost functions in the neocortex

Neural computation is the product of two optimization procedures: natural selection and learning in the individual's lifetime. But, identifying what the neocortex has been optimized for, given its repeated circuit motifs and complex relationship to behaviour, is very challenging.

4th BigBrain Workshop: Launch of HIBALL

This pre-OHBM event is dedicated to the formal inauguration of HIBALL. The workshop will be comprised of invited talks covering recent work on the BigBrain data. A poster session will facilitate in-depth discussion and opportunity for young researchers to present their work.

4th BigBrain Workshop and Launch of HIBALL
